Are you keeping the bedding that you have? If so, I would not paint the ceiling green. I do like the ideal of painting the ceiling a lighter shade of the walls.

I think the brown wall color is sophisticated. I looked that up to make sure spelling was right and here are some words to go with, polished, refined, elegant, stylish, informal cool. I think that pretty well describes you.

You go girl.jerriannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02222451023121014823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26423269.post-21136590776082789052009-03-31T13:37:00.000-05:002009-03-31T13:37:00.000-05:00Your room looks great! BUT, I took me some HGTV advise as well, and painted all the walls the same color for out soon to be "for sale" sign! I miss my color like crazy! It's funny, because I think most people would still consider what I have now most definately color!! It's called Salt Grass. A nice semi-dark golden tan. I do like it alot!

Look what you've done! you've got me started on some of my favorite things! Painting and color!

Anywho, I would shy away from the green. Mostly because I am not a minty green fan. Love the dust aqua idea though. But, I think painting the ceiling a shade or two lighter than the dark brown is a great idea! I will definately do that in my new house! I think painted ceilings are fun! White is so blah!! That's my moto!

Keep us posted!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17577538543909358398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26423269.post-36525700545100681892009-03-29T12:02:00.000-05:002009-03-29T12:02:00.000-05:00I LOVE the brown...I don't remember the green bein...I LOVE the brown...I don't remember the green being army, or bad for that matter, but this looks great!!! I'm still on the hunt for a perfect color for an accent wall in our living room...it might end up the only painted wall in our house! I can only think "resell" when I think about painting, and in this market I don't want our color choices to turn anyone away (granted we have a while until we get to the resell point, but I don't want to have to paint over a bunch of walls).Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11571902865186388883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26423269.post-51218835232877894562009-03-29T07:42:00.000-05:002009-03-29T07:42:00.000-05:00Great Job, I love the dark brown! You could get bold and use your ceiling for some visual expression... using the green along with brown to match up the decor for a dramatic look. Or opt for a lighter brown which will create a harmonious and spacious feel. A monochromatic color scheme always creates a tranquil effect... hows that for an art lesson! hahaha - have fun!The Vannoy Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03145491334225119764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26423269.post-86516137842105960472009-03-28T21:09:00.000-05:002009-03-28T21:09:00.000-05:00llloooovvveeee your bedroom!!! i have to agree wi...llloooovvveeee your bedroom!!! i have to agree with janera...green seems like it might take away from the warmth and coziness you have created in there...it would have to be the perfect shade....our ceiling in our den is 2 shades lighter than the walls, and i love it!! maybe something like that...of course, i guess you were actually trying to find a use for the green paint....anyway....LOVE your bedroom!!!Amanda Kirkpatrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05751909835966315738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26423269.post-66984498388052933132009-03-28T18:06:00.000-05:002009-03-28T18:06:00.000-05:00oooh, it's so pretty! Your room looks soothing and luxurious with the browns and whites -- green sounds like a jolt. But, you're right: you can always paint over it.

LOL -- I can relate to the army green. Remember my dining room? Supposed to be a nice neutral olive. um, not so much.

Funny you should be looking for new dressers: is that a French dresser I see? Because I'm looking for French.

hmmmmm. My mind, it goes to turnin'.

See ya next weekend! That is what Garrett calls my yellow room with the pink ceiling. Brett painted it for me and he and Kristy really like it, I think. Then the ceiling in my studio is a lighter shade of green than the walls. I personally love it. The studio is all green if you remember, stained green concrete flooring, sage green walls, and lighter sage on the ceiling. Did you go to the web site that we played with at your house that evening? The Voice of Color? That might help. My favorite combo with the chocolate is a light dusty aqua! Love it!Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05242173569920339550noreply@blogger.com
