Umm...

I was watching Good Morning America this morning, and this story was on.  I'm not sure what to think.  I don't want to automatically say, "Ew, that's gross," because I know many women around the world consider this normal.  I just found it very intriguing .  Thoughts?

  1. I don't think I like that at all. Maybe it's just surprising because I've NEVER heard of that before, but honestly it seems a little sick.

  2. Without even looking at the link, it's got to be the "cross-nursing" story????? And yeah, I thought it was a little creepy too, although I posted a blog about the topic of breastfeeding just 2 days ago. Anyway...if it was about another GMA story, just disregard this comment!! haha

  3. So did you know there is a Despereaux movie coming out Dec 19ish. It is animated and you can see the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RH9pBu3myaw

I have to say, though, I am thinking I'm going to be disappointed! The book is so dear to my heart and in the trailer there are SEVERAL MAJOR inconsistencies! I hate it when they do that!

So, do you think Kate DiCamillo comes from a place of faith?? Hmm...the red (scarlet) thread, light vs dark, forgiveness - ooh so many good themes woven through that book!

  4. If I've learned one thing about mommy-hood it is that EVERYONE and their dog has a passionate opinion about every facet of birthing, feeding, and over-all child-rearing.

My stance on this is, if someone wants to let their kids nurse from their friends (or any of the other millions of debatable choices regarding kids)--GREAT! I won't judge that. Don't judge me for choosing NOT to do that, though.

If you don't believe in C-sections--No problem! Just don't judge me for going that route.

If you don't believe in formula feeding your child--Fantastic! Just don't try and make me feel like less of a mother because I had to make the best choice for my family.

ALL of these examples to say...I do not believe this shared nursing arrangement would work for me, but I wouldn't shun others who chose to do it.

    The end!
