So far, so good. I ran for the first time with my new shoes yesterday (on the treadmill) and it was great! You know how when you wear a new pair of shoes the first time, you get some burning in the new pressure points? Well, that was all that was not ideal, but I know that will be better. Other than that, they were awesome! I just really like the way they suck to my feet!
So, I'm following up my last post and letting you know I bought some new running shoes this weekend while we were in Lubbock! YAY!
And, in a funny twist, I actually tried on four or five pairs of shoes because of your recommendations...Mizuno, Brooks, Asics, Adidas.
And then, McH brought me a pair of Under Armour. What you say? But they make clothes, not shoes! Oh, but my friends, as of May, they do make shoes and they are AWESOME...well, so far, which really just includes me trying them on, walking around the store and carrying them home with me. They were the last pair I tried on and I knew as soon as I stood up they were different.
They feel like they are suctioned to my feet, which was very different than other pairs. And, because they are Under Armour, they are much more "breezy" with specialized wicking so they can breathe.
Google 'em. Check 'em out! I'm ready to try them out tomorrow at the gym and soon on the streets of Ctown!

I have heard someone else say how much they liked these shoes. I will have to try them on when I need a new pair. I just got some new Asics for Christmas but they are already getting worn out.

ReplyDeleteGot your sweet comment on my blog today!! Thanks for the encouragement. I wanted to tell you about Jason's Garmin. IT IS AWESOME! It is a watch, that is big, fat, and bulky. BUT, so worth the $$. It will calculate mileage, pace, track your route, calorites burned...YOU NAME IT!! It is fairly expensive($300), but I think it is on my list of "big" purchases!!

ReplyDeleteI've always liked the Under Armor products, though I've never tried their running shoes...ASICS, is my brand of choice. I'm sure you'll really enjoy your Under Armor's though.

I like Brooks, but I just bought a new pair and my legs and feet are killing me. I really hope this is just the "break in" period!
