Who knew...

a devotional could stir up such emotion? If you missed my last post, you really should go read it here and then click on the comments and read all of them. Some are long, some are short, but all are worth your attention.

As I mentioned in one of my comments in the last post, ministry is a huge part of why I blog. I love to share my testimony, my thoughts, my struggles and my joys with whomever wants to read. Because I have been the recipient, and continue to receive, so much encouragement from reading others' blogs, I know I have been given a gift to share, and so I try to do that.

Yesterday, I shared a devotional that spoke to my heart, personally. I won't repost, because you can see it below if you would like.

Anyway, today, as I was perusing my blog and reading updates on others', I clicked on the link for the Daily Verse I read. It comes from www.biblegateway.com. If you've never visited this site, I highly recommend it as it has MANY resources and it makes looking in different versions of the Bible a snap because they are all available for you in one spot.

Here is the verse for today. I thought it was SO very appropriate and affirmation of the conversation that took place in my comments yesterday.

Isaiah 48:17 (New International Version)

17 This is what the LORD says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
"I am the LORD your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.

While it is a good thing to get others' opinions and to voice my own, this verse reminds me of who really directs my path and is my Great Teacher.

Waiting on Him,

  5. Isn't God so good to us. He is our ALL - we all know your heart is you seeking God's will and you sharing this difficult time for others to gain comfort from, for eyes to be opened to the pain and daily struggles that others go through.
Rev. 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. I wrote in my Bible we will overcome by the blood of Jesus and to never quit telling our story of God's grace & love. The OT shares with us Sarah, and Hannah whose desire was to be blessed with a child, and God blessed them. I know God can answer us 3 ways - Yes, No, and Wait. We can gain comfort from His Word - you keep going to Him and He will comfort your sweet tender heart. I don't know the answer, but I know when nothing else makes sense to me I can remember-
    ___________....then God.
I am lifting you up in prayer. paige lindsey
