On His Own Schedule

I have tried to make a real point about not comparing the babies to one another.  They are certainly individuals, and as far as I can tell, have very different personalities thus far.  Part of this has to do with the fact that one is a boy and one is a girl.  But I also know, they each just have their own little quirks and individualities, most of which I welcome and love (I say most because Truett's fussiness is not exactly fun on a daily basis...but we're working on it)!

As a teacher, I've witnessed the differences in maturity and development between boys and girls, but it is a different ballgame when it is your own children and you are raising them at the exact same time.

From the very beginning, Reese has done things just a little sooner than Truett and that's just fine.

She started focusing, and about a week later so did he.

She started smiling, and a few days later, Truett was right there with his sister.

So, a few days ago, I posted about Reese rolling over and even though I wasn't worried about it (truly, I wasn't), I did start wondering when Truett would finally make the move to a roller.  Whelp, I didn't have long to wait!

That's right, folks.  Tru baby is a tummy roller now, just like his little sister!

And he did it on HIS OWN schedule!

Man, do I love this sweet boy!

  2. How cute!!! Isn't it just amazing how different kids are? I often saw that in my two and at times wondered how two such different personalities could come from the same mom and dad.
