Be Prepared for Warm Fuzzies

I am reading a great book right now entitled, Nudges by Paula Brock. The book is an easy read for English teachers and gives some great ideas about how to take students through the writing process, learn vocabulary and just become better students. Anyway, one of the lessons entails reading the sweetest little book by Patricia MacLachlan called All the Places to Love.

So, today I went to the Childress Public Library (finally was able to get my card and everything) and found the book in the 3.9 AR level section. I just had to share this precious book with you. It is one you finish and then wish you could close your eyes and live inside it's story. It was charming, emotional, and full of love. I am always looking for good stories to buy for baby gifts or for gifts for my nephew or younger cousins. This is definitely worth reading, even if you don't purchase it for yourself, which I plan on doing soon. Not only was I captivated by the writing, but the illustrations are exquisite...some so realistic, they look like photographs blown up and put onto the pages! Enjoy!

  1. Just FYI...Paula Brock was my 9th grade English teacher! I have an autograph copy of "Nudges". How funny is that?

  2. OMGosh...don't you love the book? I think it has awesome ideas...no wonder you love English so much! How awesome to have her as a teacher. I got that book when I went through New Jersey Writing...it was suggested reading, so I bought it. So glad I did!
