Suuuweeeeet and The Lion King...

I hope none of you Aggies out there missed a great game yesterday afternoon! Wow...I was scared we were in for a repeat of our last Missouri game, but the Ags pulled it out and won! Sweet 16, here we come!

By the way, something you shouldn't miss if at all possible is a trip to see The Lion King! Can I just say it was probably the best show I've ever seen on stage? I was mesmerized especially by the costuming! Those giraffes are amazing. The harmony brought me to tears! Rich wasn't sure about whether I would feel up to going or not, and he was buying tickets for four people. So, the only way we could all sit together because he bought the tickets a couple of weeks ago (kind of last minute for this show) was to LITERALLY sit on the last row of the auditorium...way up there...the nosebleeds...row X. Anyway, even though we were way up, the show was still captivating and we had a couple of pairs of binoculars we would pass amongst the four of us. WE only used them to see the detail in the costumes. Unbeknownst to us, some family also bought tickets and ended up sitting in basically the same seats as us, but four or five rows ahead...and they bought their tickets in December. Regardless, it was a great night, great show and great company!

  1. I'm sad that we missed The Lion King when it was here, but I'm glad that you had such a great time. Who else went with you?

  2. Woo-hoo for Lion King! We're supposed to go on Saturday night. Still not sure who my date will be IF it conflicts with a possible A&M basketball game?!?! I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there, right?

  3. I can't agree more - you are so articulate! We saw The Lion King in Seattle, don't recall where our tickets were, but WHAT A SHOW! The animals were amazing -- good thing I knew the storyline, because I was so very focused on the animals and their movements!

  4. Audrey-My parents were the other two in our foursome. That made it even better!

CLS- I am so excited you are going to the show. Even if Ryan can't (or won't) go with you, just GO! Take Nicki for a night out! It is totally worth it...has your mother seen it? That's another option!

Paige-- Thanks for the compliment! I agree...if I hadn't seen the movie, the plot would have been lost to me because I was so focused on what was constantly going on on stage.

  7. Glad that you were able to see The Lion King with Ray and Laura. I know that made it a fun day. How was your time in Amarillo? I thought about you several times wondering if you were in Hastings or Barnes and Nobles.
