Calling All Product Aficionados!!!

I need some advice from all of you product junkies out there. I need eye makeup remover. However, it seems that my eyes tend to be very sensitive to your ordinary run-o'-the-mill brands from the local Wal-Mart. I have most recently used L'Oreal. I thought it was okay, I guessed. BUT, to my disappointment, my eyes did not get used to the burning and so I stopped using it. It seems they are either too greasy or too astringenty (even a word...I think not, but you know what I mean), they burn my eyes and the skin around my eyes.

SO...my challenge to you...find me an E.M.U.R. that is non-greasy, easy on sensitive skin, and WORKS...oh, and easy on the pocketbook would be nice, too, but I'm willing to bend a bit on that if it's worth it!

My eyes are waiting...

  2. If you want something from Wal-Mart, try Almay brand. They make hypoallergenic remover, and they even make little round pads already soaked in the stuff - it's in a small, round, jar-like deal, but should be right there with the Almay section. I have sensitive eyes, too, and never had trouble with that. More recently I've used Este Lauder brand which was great but pricey (cheaper at the BX than a dept. store, but still over $10). Now I'm using a Clinique remover that is for eyes/lips, mainly because it was at the BX and a bottle lasts me forever. It's okay, but I don't think I'll be buying it again!

  3. I am not much of a fan...but I used Mary Kay for a while. As far as eye make-up removers go, I liked it. I have a sample I can pop in the mail for you if you would like. Hope you find something.

  4. Charla,
I'm really sensitive-skinned too. I am allergic to almost everything that touches my eyes, so I just use baby oil then soap and water. But way back when I used Mary Kay's version, and it's the only thing in the entire Mary Kay line that I'm not allergic to.

  6. Charla,

I used Kiehls eye makeup remover. I used to use the whole Kiehls skin care line until Alli introduced me to Arbonne. It is good stuff: www.kiehls.com

  7. I would have to second the Clinique suggestion. I have big time allergies, especially with my eyes, but I can use their eye makeup solvent and not itch or burn. And it gets it all off, too!

  8. I third the Clinique suggestion. I have used it for years and it doesn't seem to bother my sensitive skin! Hope this helps! :-) stacie

  9. Charla, I used to use the Almay brand because of eye sensitivity. Now, of course, I use BeautiControl Lid and Lash Bath and have no problem with it. It is $9.50 and seems to last quite awhile. I also thought I needed water-proof mascara which is much harder to remove. I have recently gone to the Volumizing Spectaculash which can be removed with water. For what that is worth, my experience, and remember, I'm old! dp

  10. i just use the clearasil daily face wash. not a scrub or exfoliater...just the plain old face wash that comes in a tube. it takes everything off at once including my eye makeup. i keep it in the shower and use it at night and during my shower every morning...i'm pretty sure it says for sensitive skin on the bottle!
