Are you Ready for Some Bible?

Tara Reed and I are starting a Bible study! God is already working on this happening because Tara and I have been thinking about doing this for a while in our own minds, but didn't share the desire with each other until a few days ago, and now look! We have gone back and forth about what study we want to do, and we agreed we wanted to do something that could affect change in our lives and especially our marriages. No matter how great your marriage is, there is always more room for God's work, don't you think?

So, we have chosen to do "Love and Respect" by Emerson Eggerichs. Trey and Lea Morgan have both suggested this book on Trey's blog, and my sister-in-law is using it in a bible study in Levelland. So, I know it is going to be fantastic!

We will meet at Tara's house starting June 15th and we will meet every Sunday at 8:00 pm. The best deal I have found on books and workbooks is here at Christianbook.com.
We would LOVE for every one of you to join us!!! There's nothing like sharing with and supporting each other as women in Christ!

Sending LOVE to all my sisters and I hope you are all planning on joining us! Don't be discouraged if you are not going to be able to make it every Sunday...we know it's the summer and sometimes you will be out of town, but no worries! We just want to see your beautiful face as often as you can make it!

  1. Charla, I would LOVE your help in making a blog! I obviously don't have much time to work on it but have been meaning to ask you about yours for awhile now. I'm so tired of my boring layout, but I know nothing about creating custom blogs. Let me know how we begin! Thank you so much for your offer.

  2. I checked out both blogs, and I really like the Piper Family blog. I'd definitely go for something similar...I think. I'm sure there are tons to choose from. Can't wait to get started! How fun.

  3. Charla - we are doing this study in our Sunday school class. We are reading chapters 13-14 this week. Are your husbands joining you?? It is a really great study! The beginning is somewhat long and redundant, but it is worth it! Gavin and I are having the best time doing it and really growing together! You and Rich already seem so awesome, but like you said, all marriages can improve:) If you have a chance to get the DVD, it is great. Emerson is so funny and our class just laughs and laughs when watching. Have a great summer!

  7. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I, too, have the maiden name "Dabney". I grew up in Cross Lanes, WV (a small town just outside of Charleston) where my dad was the pastor of a presbyterian church. I am the 5th child of nine--8 girls and one boy--two sets of twins. My dad, Jack Dabney is originally from Pittsburgh and he is the son of Vince Dabney. I don't run across other Dabneys everyday. In fact, you are the only one I've ever "met". So, nice to meet you. :) God Bless. Oh, enjoy your Bible study. It sounds like a good one. :)

  13. That sounds like an awesome study. Are you doing it as a couples study or a women's bible study? Also I saw on the last comment you have found someone else that worked at the MSC, who is it?
