Thursday night I got a call from McHotterson who has been out of town for the last three weeks. He said he had good news and bad news. The bad news was it was 10:00 p.m. and he still had 2 hours worth of paperwork to do. But the good news...and oh was it ever good...was he was coming home a day early! He would be here Friday instead of Saturday and it just made my day!
I have to confess that I have one of the most considerate, loving, humorous husbands in the world. I'm so in love with him and he is one blessing I am more grateful for than I could ever express but I try on a daily basis.
He was in College Station helping out a friend of ours for 3 weeks. The first two weeks were okay. I missed him, but I was okay. Well, Monday started a different story. I missed him like crazy and the days just dragged on even though I was busy. So, when he got home a day early I was ecstatic! He texted me on his way here to let me know where he was. Ballinger...Abilene...I'm close...Look outside. I dropped everything, ran to the door and there he was! Sporting some new facial hair, I might add, but still the handsome man he was when he left. So cliche, but absence really does make the heart grow fonder!
So, we went to dinner at Thai Kitchen and then hit Dairy Queen for a blizzard. We spent the evening driving around with the windows down and looking at all the houses for sale. Not that we're looking to move or anything (at least not right now) but we always like to know what's available.
Anyway, so the McHotterson is back and I couldn't be happier. The perfect way to start a new school year.
Here's to sweet reunions.

ReplyDeletewe had fun today!!
hey, it's your friend from Siestaworld. I'm sorry that our Bible study group crashed and burned, but I'm glad I got to "know" you...let me know if there's ever a way I can pray for you...I already know one way, though, from the early Bible study posts from our blog. I'm so glad to hear hubby made it home safely...I start to go crazy after a few days of not seeing my man. I always think it'll be nice to have a break, but inevitably, I start to miss him. God did something wonderful when He created husbands and wives. And amen to sweet reunion, my sister. Good luck on your first day this week! I'll say an extra prayer for you in preparation for tomorrow!
