2 Weeks of Sleepy Bliss

I promised a post with the birth story and an update about what all has been happening these first couple of weeks since our lives changed forever and for the better.

It's coming.  It really is.  It's just every time I think I might take a moment to write one, I'm so overcome with the strong desire to sleep, or clean, or sleep some more, I decide to put it off until the next day.

But, I couldn't pass up posting at least a little something today, because it is a special day for the Jenkins' babies!

Today they are 2 weeks old!

Here are their basic stats to commemorate the day of their birth, Monday, April 18, 2011!

Born first (although he was always Baby B in utero):

Truett Zeldon Jenkins
7 pounds 5 ounces
20 1/2 in.
Born at 7:46 a.m.

He was born with a head full of blond hair, dark blue eyes and was screaming!  He had to be put under oxygen for an hour or so, but before long was back with his sister in the nursery.

 Little sister:

Reese Kathleen Jenkins
6 pounds 4 ounces
19 1/2 in.
Born at 7:47 a.m.

She was born with her eyes wide open, looking around the room.  She cried some, but she was mostly just interested in what was going on!  She had dirty blond hair and big, curious, dark blue eyes.
First family photo!  I'd say we were pretty stinkin' happy at this point!

The last two weeks have been a whirlwind of many kinds.  Stay tuned...
