Today was the babies' 6 month well check appointment. They looked great and are growing like crazy!
Truett
-18 lbs 5 oz (61%)
-27 in long (63%)
-93% head circumference (I don't know the measurement)
The last few days Truett has been waking up in the middle of the night several times screaming and crying, almost inconsolable. He had no fever and I first thought it was his next set of teeth coming in. I spent the last week almost in tears because I was both exhausted and frustrated! I just had no idea what to do.
Turns out the poor guy has an ear infection and our doctor said some babies will have no fever or show any signs of infection except that they cry at night. She says during the day they are distracted and might be cranky/fussy but really show no other signs. But at night they are finally still with nothing else to look at and so they are more aware of the pain.
So, we've started him on a 10 day round of amoxicillin and he's taking a marathon nap as I type this!
Reese

-26 1/2 in long (70%)
-60% for head circumference
As of now, she's looking tall and skinny! Go girl! You know you didn't get that from your Momma! Ha!
Reese is a mover and shaker! She is now crawling and I have caught her once sitting up on her own! She's very busy and alert , always looking an warding everything.
She's gotten so much better about going down, which I think is a combination of me understanding her cues better and her just maturing and knowing I am not going to rock her for 30 minutes until she goes to sleep. That has been so nice!
The babies have also started interacting and "playing" with each other. It is so special to watch.
As always, I leave you with pictures of the rugrats and one of momma and daddy going to a rehearsal dinner in Houston. My brother was here for a quick visit this weekend so there is a pic or two with him, as well! Reese and Truett sure love meeting their Uwa!
