do-do, do-do...they're BA-ACK!

Yes, I can happily say I will sleep VERY well tonight knowing that Tallie and Trigger are back home. They were found by a neighbor on the other end of a cul-de-sac from the Hendler's. I KNOW they haven't been there this whole time, because I searched in that area several times. I was in my robe after a shower when this man knocked on the front door. I ran, threw some clothes on, and answered the door out of breath. He asked if we were missing any blue heelers, to which I replied, "No, but we are missing two Australian Shepherds as of last night. He said, "Well, I think they are on my back porch." I was so thankful, I know I sounded like such a redneck, "Aw, shucks, thanks mister" was pretty much the equivalent of my response, but I was honestly dumbstruck, shocked and just SO relieved. So, I took BJ's truck so I could get them in the back and drove to the guys house. Sure enough, there they were...stinking to high heaven of skunk and a little worse for the wear, but overall fine. They were loaded up, and brought home where they were kindly escorted back to their run where they will stay! Tallie has a raw spot on her paw and is limping a bit, but she'll be fine. I love those dogs, but I could have shot them today when I found them. Good thing my dad wasn't here!

  1. YAY! I was praying that you'd find them. I know the events of the last 24 hours have had you on an emotional roller coaster. I'm so happy they are home. Tell those pups what I tell Gabby and Gracie..."There's NO PLACE like HOME!"

  2. What great advice for wander-lust dogs such as these! I got your message but have been exhausted and busy this afternoon. I am headed to Austin for a cousin's wedding. I am so ready. I am packing tonight so I can leave straight from school. I bought a very cute outfit..dress, shoes and earrings (and new strapless bra) Tuesday after school. I think 'twill be VERY cute...too bad my hubby won't be there with me. I will take pics!

  4. Crazy dogs! Desi, Lucy, and the dog we're dog sitting for a month, Bennett, took themselves on 3 adventures before I finally figured out that Lucy was beginning the adventures by opening the gate with her nose!!!!
