You know, most people would start a post or email of this kind off saying something like, "I normally don't do these things, but..." I, however, love doing these types of things, and I especially love getting my friends to do them and send them back! I love getting to know little things about different people, especially those I don't know well. So, here is a different take on the "getting to know you" post. AND, I tag everyone who reads it to post one on their blog, too! I mean, who doesn't like "talking" about themselves? ;)
A-Attached or Single? Attached…Married almost 5 years, 4 months
B-Best Friend(s): Richard for sure is my number one BFF…Just under him, I would include Sally, Dawn, Amy, Jody and Donna…and my Momma!
C-Cake or Pie: CAKE…my favorite is dulce de leche.
D-Drink of Choice: Water and coffee everyday, and occasionally, a glass of red wine.
E-Essential Item: Hair straightener
F-Favorite Color(s): Blue and Brown
G-Gummi Bears or Worms? BEARS…they are actually my favorite kind of candy.
H-Hometown: Uvalde, Texas
I-Indulgence: MARBLE SLAB ICE CREAM, especially RUM WITH ALMONDS
J-January or February: January…I still have a few days of vacation before going back to school.
K-Kids: We don’t have any yet, but we're working on it…
L-Life is incomplete without: Good girlfriends.
M-Marriage Date: October 12, 2002
N-Number of Siblings: 1 younger brother, Will (27),
O-Oranges or Apples? Honestly, I can’t choose. I’m a fruit-natic, so I LOVE both of them!
P-Phobias/Fears: Snakes…I hate them and I really do get a sick feeling when I see one, in person or on t.v. I have a real fear of getting sick or someone in my family getting sick and dying, especially of cancer.
Q-Favorite Quote: “We could learn a lot from crayons; some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, while others bright, some have weird names, but they all have learned to live together in the same box.” –Author Unknown
R-Reasons to smile: great marriage/husband, cute puppies, amazing family, good friends, willing Savior
S-Season: The Summer time because I love being sun-kissed and spending time at the river or camping with family and friends.
T-Tattoo’s?: Not yet, but I have it designed. Someday?
U-Unknown Facts About Me: I love checking the mail and Richard actually leaves it for me because he knows it makes me happy. I love getting email, but I really don’t like talking on the phone. My friends and family just have to know this about me and love me anyway. I do NOT eat potatoes, except fries and they have to be thin. I’ve just never liked potatoes in any other form. I don’t like chocolate, either. Occasionally I will eat dark chocolate, but if I had a choice, I would get Skittles Starburst, or Haribo gummi bears, over chocolate any day. I’m a minimalist and I think it is because I grew up in a not-so minimalist home…consequently, I throw away anything I don’t need, or haven’t used/worn in the last year. I hate clutter.
V –Vegetable you love: I love pretty much ANY vegetable…even brussel sprouts, but my favorite has to be a tie between broccoli, cucumbers and grape tomatoes. I buy the plastic tubs of tomatoes and eat them like candy…they are sweet to me. The other night at dinner, I told Richard that lettuce tastes sweet to me and he looked at me like I was crazy. Maybe my reincarnated self will be a rabbit.
W-Worst Habit: Picking at my fingernails/cuticles, and saying the word, “actually.”
X-X-rays or Ultrasounds? This is a weird question…who knows? I guess ultrasounds. I’ve only had a couple in my life for various reasons and it was pretty cool to see things live and moving!
Y-Your Favorite Foods: P.F. Chang, Pei Wei, pho, Kabuki…pretty much anything Asian, Olive Garden.
Z-Zodiac: Aries
